Prospective AIA Members
If you are a legal resident of the United States, and licensed to practice architecture in California, you are eligible to be a member of The American Institute of Architects. As The American Institute of Architects is a three-tiered organization, when you join The AIA, you will automatically become a member of all three components - National, State and Chapter.
Your application will be processed first by the Chapter. Click here to download PDF application. After approval, it will be forwarded immediately to AIA's National Office in Washington, DC where final processing usually takes up to six weeks.
