AIASCV Community
AIA is architects working together to create better places for people. As a local community of architects, AIA Santa Clara Valley is pursuing community goals aimed at strengthening our connections with each other, celebrating our achievements and building relationships with others who participate in creating and improving our built environment. AIA members work together with business leaders, civil servants, allied professionals and members of the general public to improve local communities and improve the integrity, utility, aesthetics, and value of our built surroundings.
AIASCV promotes the architectural professional and expands knowledge about the built environment through monthly programs, education, and special events. During 2009, we held an all-day workshop, A Seismic Event: Designing for Earthquakes, at Stanford University. In 2010, AIASCV partnered with GoingEvergreen and San Jose/Evergreen Community College District to present, Roadmap to Energy Equilibrium, a panel discussion on "Net Zero" building strategy.
